These instruction are specifically for the Cricket Droid Phone. However, they will work for most other Droid phones also. When I wanted to root my Cricket droid phone I could not find any place online where someone else had rooted the Cricket Droid -- So I just did it and hoped for the best. It worked like charm, so here it is.
Open your Cricket Android and use your barcode Scanner to scan the following image. You will then be given the option to navigate to this page OR
You can download the file from here. Note that if you download it from here onto your desktop or laptop, your system may force you to save it as a zip file. You can always change the extension back to .apk.
Know what version of droid you own. Look in your phone settings, or on the box that it came in when you bought it, or just look around online until you are confident you know which version you are running. With the cricket you probably own a 1.6.xx version of the Droid.
